I have looked on some sites and they say the OD Delica is limited and other sites do not say anything about it being limited. So, my question is if the knife is limited? if so, does anyone know how limited?

Thanks

I always considered myself to be in the loop when it comes to new knives... especially Spydies. But I know nothing about this at all. I have only seen it mentioned once other than in this thread, but did not inquire about it. Can someone give me some info?

It was a distributor exclusive.I have 2 of them.I would also like to know how many were made.

Is this a recent knife? Or something older that you guys are just bringing up now? If it is recent, when did it come out?

It is new, been out about 2 weeks. All the sites I know of that had them say they are out of stock.Sold fast!
It is VG 10 50/50 black blade.

Thanks for the quick reply. That is good info to know. I am not a fan of black blades or serrations for that matter so I think I shall pass up on this one. Still glad that I know what it's all about though. Thanks again.

It is a limited run of 1200 which Spyderco made for one of its distributors.

I got the OD Delica and I am very impressed. I have an early 90's delica with A integrate FRN clip and G2 steel. I like this one a little more than the older one because of the upgrades(Steel, clip, boye detent) it even seems a little heavier than the older one.

I picked one up from Bayou LaFourche Knifeworks. I love the contrast the black blade and green handle provide, but why in God's name did they have to make it a partially serrated knife?!?! It's such a great looking Delica, it's a shame that I will probably never carry it due to the fact I don't find a partially serrated edge very useful on a short blade.

If it is financially possible for Spyderco, I think they should consider offering the olive drab handle as one of the standard color choices for the FRN Delica along with black and blue.
