I just got this in the mail and was curious. I couldnt find any info online but I figured I would ask the pros here.

Did they ever make an OD Green PM2 or are these aftermarket scales? They fit very nicely and have some wear (knife is a user) but look very nicely made if they arent stock.

Its the knifeworks exclusive stock knife should have cts204p blade steel. They made 1200 of this configuration

I thought that knife had a dark green/ forest green handle? This one is definitely OD green.

Unfortunately, this looks like one of the earlier fakes. They come in cow dung green, vomit orange, and oil spill black.

Nevermind, safe to say this is fake. Didnt even cross my mind. Thanks for the quick help guys.

Hopefully the seller is cool, if not, I will have an expensive AR target. Thanks guys.

From the pics in the orignal ad, I thought it looked good enough to beat on and the price was right. Definitely a "good" fake.

We will see though, I have a feeling he will. It was on another site from a long time member with alot of perfect feedback.

Spyderco made a limited run of the Tenacious with great looking OD scales.

The lettering on the blade of that one looks a little off to me. If you carefully compared side by side with a real PM2 you might notice other differences. You might scan the net for PM2 photos and see if the lettering and lanyard insert appear to be right.

I would love to get those scales.

I'm with you- I like the OD color on the Tenacious better than the green that was used on the PM2. There might be a question about whether these scales would even fit a real PM2. The holes might be slightly off, etc.

The seller is taking it back. I got lucky and am dealing with a good guy that had no idea either.

Yet another reason I prefer dealing with people who have good feedback and using Paypal goods. Although, if the seller didnt have great feedback (65 transactions with 100% feedback) I would have looked much closer.

Glad it worked out for you. You situation is just one more solid reason I do not buy from Ebay.

These fakes are getting way too close to the real deal. Aside from looking real how was the action/bladeplay/centering?

Stiff and not as smooth as a real one but it was solid and perfectly centered. Definitely would not be flicking it open. There was a very small amount of side to side play.

I don't either. This was on a gun website from a long time member with 100% feedback. If it was on ebay or someone with no feedback I would have been way more observant. Lesson learned though.

Wow. I'm shocked. Congrats to you.

Im not shocked. It wouldnt be any different that expecting a return from someone on the exchange here with 65+ positive ratings.

I have seen at least one seller on one of the big gun auction sites that has had more than one fake listed for sale. His feedback was also very good. I haven't been to that site in quite some time, and generally just avoid all of the auction sites unless I'm trying to price an item.
