I've owned this knife for a while. It's been sitting in a drawer getting no love at all. Today I decided to carry it because their was a change I would get my knife confiscated and didn't want to lose anything expensive. Well after carrying it all day, I'm wondering why I've been over looking this knife for so long. The profile is so sleek, it's so comfortable in the hand. The flipping mechanism is lightning fast. I'm in love with this knife. Anyone else have love for the OD1?

I agree. I've bought two of them, and gifted one away. So far as I can see, It's just an excellent all around design, definitely a winner.

Colog, I'm right there with you brother.... I've had this little guy sitting in my drawer for quite some time now but i've never really used it. Today I had to do some plumbing and replace the condenser on my Excursion. It was my faithful companion today, from cutting packing straps to pulling O rings to breaking down boxes. Here's a pic of it (not a good one) i took for a tutorial on a condenser R/R on a 7.3 liter Excursion Diesel

Great little knife, i love the design... A real gentleman's knife. Maybe later this month I'll try making a CF scale for it.

I love the OD series. Absolutely awesome!! The OD-2 was my first Kershaw and will be with me forever. It's been put through a lot and has been retired as of now, but it holds a special place in my heart. I used that thing for months and even took it on fishing trips. The only action it gets now is cutting the foam out of my Pelican Case.

I have 2 and like them a lot. They were my true EDC for 2-3 years before I got back into knives and started collecting.

The OD-1 was one of my first Kershaws and I still carry it on occasion. Everybody I show it to likes it. I've even replaced the backspacer and put a deep pocket clip on mine

I really like the new clip and the orange standoffs. I love the idea of a carbon fibre scale. Maybe I'll look for someone to make me one.

My OD-1 still gets lots of pocket time & a pimp job:cool:
Nice blade for when I need something small to fly under the radar.

Very nice Rival, love the colors. I tried making my own scale but gave up after my first failed attempt at removing material for the flipper mechanism.

I'm sorry to say I'm not the biggest fan of the OD series. I had an OD-1 for a short while, and had to sell it. I just didn't like it. Then I had KnottyEagle's OD-2 for a time while I was sharpening his knives, and I liked that one even less. Just felt a bit toyish to me. The deployment concept is really slick, but those knives just didn't sizzle my fajitas.
