Good evening...I just bought what appears to be a Case XX jumbo trapper with stag scales. It also came with a very nice alligator skin sheath. On the blade it has.. CASE
19 BRADFORD PA 92

and on the back side it has the number 5223. I've never seen one of these before and I just wondered if any of you case collectors know anything about this knife. I have no camera and I know that does not help. It looks kinda like a Moore Maker jumbo trapper with a clip/spear main blade and a large spey blade. Any help or info would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

It's a "Case Classic" made by Queen under contract. During the short era of 3 years in the early 90's that Jim Parker owned Case, he commissioned the Case Classics series of VERY well made pocketknives, made by Queen.

It should greatly resemble a Moore Maker Jumbo Trapper, Queen made both! :D

Nice score, the stag on the ones I have seen is REALLY nice.

Thanks fo r the info..I really appreciate it. Yea, the stag on this one is very deep orange and beautiful. I'll try to get a camera to get pics up soon...Jim

Why did I not know this? Why does it scare me to even think about?

For all his ups and downs, if Jim Parker had not bought Case when he did, it might very well not have survived at all. Eventually it did end up in the hands of Zippo, the current owners, after Parker.

The really wild thing is that Buck almost bought Case back then, instead of Parker.

Always wondered what Buck would have done with it if they had acquired Case????
