A few weeks ago I was out on this small island off the coast of Maine. Wasn't much on it but a very small town square and a local general store so I don't really bring much money with me. I'm looking around this store and on a counter is one of schrade display cases with a dozen or more schrades in their. I don't know much about the knives but looked like a fix blade or too and some slipjoints. A small dusty wooden case with Schrade on it. Made me think of bf schrade guys.

One has to be careful. I made a trip up the Maine coast last summer all the way to Machias, and along the way in small general stores I saw a number of Schrade displays full of knives....but they were all the current Taylor Schrades made in China. I have not seen the new Chinese Schrades distributed very much here in Massachusetts yet, but they were all over the place in Maine.

yep; ya really gotta know yer Schrades ! like: "Schrade Walden, Made in U.S.A." might even seem to be a Schrade. but it's a Charade !
