Hahaha I've definitely been there...I have had a couple Bic lighters laying around that look a lot like that...Lol.

But really, the only thing I occasionally cut when I'm bored is myself due to constantly fiddling with a knife and rarely paying close enough attention.

I usually just stick to paper/cardboard/wood/trash. The oddest I've done is deburring a drilled hole in aluminum.

I got a good laugh out of that lol. My first thought was. "It's hairy O.O..."

Some of you may have seen my desk before, in case you haven't:
Sometimes I'll whittle something up like that axe and log or that .45 acp round, pencils I have layin around. That sharpie is taped up because it started leaking, I'm sure you can figure out why lol. Lighters and pens and whatever is around I'll carve and my computer/work desk also acts as a deburring stick as some call them. Oh and can't forget magazines, I save all my junk mail for that reason. I use it to judge how sharp my knife is and if it is sharp when I test I'll go through 4 or 5 pages just to cut it. I never have any boxes around either because I cut them in to tiny pieces...

i found my old skateboard when i was cleaning my garage then i wanted to test out how sharp my knives were
and i think i have to buy a new worktable next week other then that some pencils, lighters, old coolboxes and plastic bottles

whatever is at hand....usually it is whatever bottle I have just finished, I can get some pretty cool spirals from a dr pepper bottle....and anything plastic that is within reach that isn't important (ie: a broken credit card....lots of little pieces). I usually have a couple of empty prescriptions bottles around and anything that is above the surface (like the writing on the top) gets shaved off till flat.
