Just wondering, does anybody out there knows the rockwell hardness of the lockbar stabilizer an a ZT 0560?
I have an older version that doesn't have a steel lockbar insert, and since the lock is over at 80% with really bad stick and lock rock I wanted to make one for it out of the stabilizer. I've planned out how to do it with a drill press and a 2-56 tap, just don't know if the steel is actually hard enough.
And by the way I know I could probably send it to ZT and get a new frame with an insert, but then it wouldn't have internal milling or any well deserved scratches and blood stains
