Oddball "Black Diamond"

Looking for any info on this little guy- about a 2 pounder, cut down from a double bit at some point by a previous owner.
Stamping reads "Black Diamond / Hand Made" with what appears to be the initials "B. B. C."

I would assume Walters, but I've never seen another one like it.

I don't think that the Black Diamond name (their highest quality line) was proprietary only to Walters Axe. I'd be curious to hear more about this.

It's a shame the other half is gone, since it might've given some insight. No other markings left besides the embossing.
