Here's a custom one bladed 317 I picked up. The owner knew no history except that her dad owned it. The bolsters have been replaced with squared off ones and no lanyard hole. The scales are some type of resin material. This definitely was a "garage" project as the scales were cut a tad short. It is a nice 317 oddball to have imo, it is very light, might end up in my pocket;)

next to another 1 bladed 317 (see bolsters diff)

Gsea,

Is there any chance that is a Camillus #26 re-bladed with a 317 blade? The #26 had squared bolsters.

Could be, especially when they shut down and all kinds of part knives were being made by employees. Would make sense. So it's a hybrid more miles to the gallon.

I forgot to mention that the #26 had no lanyard hole in the bolster and it did have handle pins.

Shrinkage would be common to early resins & celluloid materials.
Thank you for sharing your find.
