Heres some knives that i feel privilaged to of been comissioned on. They are for a man who is having them made for his sons from a piece of cherry that his father always wanted to make something out of. The Grandfather passed on without every doing anything with it so the man wanted them put on handles for his sons. I hope he enjoys them as much as I enjoyed making them.
OAL:8" Drop Point Hunter
Blade: 4"
Handle: Stabilized Cherry with mosaic pins.

Those are some fine looking knives. That is a fantastic idea to make use of that piece of cherry:thumbup:

Well done

Nice! Wild Cherry is a good, solid hardwood that looks even better with age. The sons will be proud to have those and is a nice way to remember their grandad. Kudos!

Simple and traditional blade lines, elegant pins, no bolsters…a beautiful way to let the wood be the star! Great work Mr. Rehrer! A respectful way to honor a family’s tradition and work to be proud of!
