Ode to that "Sharpmaster", from Ohio somewhere
2 hands up, 10 fingers, oops... 9, if ya care
Well wave whatcha got, while I tell a small story
About a BATAC that slipp'd, and a finger all gory
I check'd on the Forums, and saw a request
Snatch'd up a camera to help a new 'guest'
Wanted a comparison 'tween a Badger and the 'Du
So I posted those shots for him to peruse
I grabb'd up the BATAC to put it away
 0h, s***, I nearly lost a finger this very nice day!
I should've gone for stitches, but you know the drill...
If the finger's still attached, well LOL, it oughta heal...
No complaints here, a li'l pain, what can I do
LMAO, except to grin & say why sir, THANK YOU!
Ok... If you're thinkin' about are these knives sharp,
The answer's HELL YES, and to a form of art
Scary sharp as heck lately, from Mistress to Warden,
The master to thank? Well folks, his name is J:foot: !!
:D:D:D :thumbup::thumbup:

SCARY sharp!!! LOL, the knife slipped, and when I went to 'catch' it, it literally push cut into the finger with minimal pressure. 2.5in. cut at the base of my right index finger into the palm, right through the skin. LOL Not my smoothest move. LMAO I'll spare you (& me) the gore. But... WHAT an EDGE!!!!! Sweet, no doubt!

The scary Badger, calm before the attack...

Heck yeah!!!

Bleed baby, BLEED!!!!:D:eek::D

I had this happen with a back hair inflicted FBMLE, courtesy our local pbubsy!:o

Don't say I didn't warn you! My hand is still healing from my gash and that was over two months; it still feels hard to the touch. You might want to reconsider the stitches if it is bad. Glad it wasn't worse, watch those fingers and toes :D

Oh, and bring on the gore! We could start a whole sticky of Busse induced injuries :)

holy shit Jaxx, WATCH OUT!! great pics... did that Ratmandu ever come in Satin?

First reflex I developed when start my knife hobby - jump away from any position if knife slip from my hands.

Thanks, Vassili.

I may get complaints in suburbia if i operated a forge, but I do live next to a medical doctor when if im bleeding and running late! At least it made a clean cut...better than a greasy belt! thanks for the poem- it was a great read. combat knives do feel lots of anxiety when outside of combat.A kind of reverse gulf-war syndrome. It might feel better if it travelled to canada to my place for a permanent vacation?

Jaxx, while at Blade did we not talk about getting your hands and feet out of the way?

And does anyone in this room nick or cut themselves as much as Jaxx???
Heck, I even seen his blood at the Blade booth. Rate your going you'll have about 27 nicks before years end:eek:

Ahhh, I'm messin with ya. Do be carefull though and hope it heals fast.

Man Jaxx that suxx. Hope you heal fast.

Note to shop, you guys might want to go ahead and send the "kiddie" blades to Penn's woods, and save the real blades for the rest of us.

It's the gray urban coating. Everyone knows they push-cut the best. Hence the reason I always get my blades in satin, black or tan (or muddy).

Gotta watch those digits....That is why I buy stock in NU-SKIN:thumbup:

:):)

LOL, I usually do! It was only sliding in the hand and I just managed to get a finger in the way this time when I gripped it (a little too much!). You should see me drop one! I'm all jumping back and 'dancing' out of the way... I'm barefoot most of the time, LOL...

Ok... YOU KNOW that any cut with a Mosier knife doesn't count... LOL, if ya LOOK at his knives wrong, you'll get cut!! :D:thumbup: ...And for the record, LORA cut me @ the Trough!! Watch out for her, she's MEAN!!! LMAO :p Just KIDDING around wit ya, Lora! :D

LOL... THIS might be too errr, DEEP for Nu-Skin... What's that underneath the skin at the base of the finger where it meets the palm? Bone??? LMAO, J/K!

Man Jaxx that suxx. Hope you heal fast.

:grumpy: I HEARD THAT!!!!! LMAO Too funny! heh-heh!

I think it'll be OK, but one of the worst I've yet to get. Nothing like re-learning a lesson, eh? LOL Funny, the 'poem' sorta sprang into my head... Whatduya think... Loss of blood?? Don't quit my day job? GET a day job...??? LMFAO

I HEARD THAT!!!!!

You heard that eh?

So you're saying that you move your lips when you read?

That explains a lot.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one around here who hears everything that I read.

Have you heard any good books lately?

no blood pics, your slipping Jaxx...

Anybody here ever KrazyGlue/SuperGlue a cut shut... I do it all the time.. dont let the glue in deep, just at the surface and pinch tighty.. may need to reapply every 2-3 days... and I generally leave just a little corner edge of the cut open to allow for seepage
