Odessey in BG-42?

I just received a new catalogue at home and was thumbing through when I see they offer three styles of Odessey's--one with black coating, one with serrations, and one in BG-42! Gotta get one of those!

What you are saying is news to me. What catalog are you looking at? The Odyssey does come in ATS-34 but I have never seen it with BG-42 or with a black oxide blade.
The Lightning II is available with the black oxide blade and you can get the carbon fiber handled one with ATS-34.
If you are looking at the 2000 catalog and see BG-42 available on any knife other than
the 532 special editions then you have a different catalog than what I have seen!!

I would like to see that catalogue as well. Or never mind, just order me one in BG-42! I am really starting to like that steel.

Just got a Fox Ridge Outfitters catalog yesterday, and they have the "trout scale" knife allegedly with a BG42 blade. It would seem to be a typo, but the copy clearly differentiates between it and the ATS-34 in the two other lightnings offered.

Any truth to this one?
 
Yep, Kevin is right--Foxridge Outfitters--The lightning in BG-42, doesn't look like a typo to me--check it out!

I would say that they have a mistake in their catalog as Buck has never made the Odyssey in BG-42.
They probably meant to say ATS-34.
