Greetings,
I've had my odyssey for a few months now and I've decided to use it is my utlilty blade. But it has developed a problem with the liner lock. If I choke up on the blade putting my middle finger on the first notch of the blade with index finger on the blade, with little pressure the knife folds right up on me. Utter and complete lock failure. To see if this was a problem with how I was holding the knife. I tested the lock by holding the blade with one hand and holding the handle with the other I atempted to fold the knife with out dissegaging the lock. The knife folded with little pressure. Do you think this could be fixed by Buck, or am I expecting to much from the knife.
Other than the lock problem I really like the knife. I was thinking of sending it to the shop(I love the Buck warrenty). Does anyone think they can fix this problem. If not would rather get rid of it than not be able to trust the lock.
