I have had some problems on the acetone. i have wrote about them in the last thread "best way to remove ren wax"

I would appreciate some feedback again.

Thanks guys!

i posted it on the other thread. but it seems the acetone maybe "dried" out the g10 and left a kinda white film of the blade. it really didnt seem to take off the ren wax very well. i was hoping for some feedback from your experience using the acetone

Me too(other thread post), oh and I used a rag and acetone to clean, strip the G-10. But just to say it again, apply a lite coat of oil and good to go. If you put acetone on your fingers your skin will ALSO turn white cause it sucks the moisture and oils right out of it. TRY NOT TO DO THIS for it's not healthy. It happened to me by accident and I said watch out for this stuff from now on.

Acetone is great for cleaning blades. Takes buffing compounds right off. It was suggested to me by a knifemaker and I have found it to work better then anything I have found. I just pour some on a rag and wipe off the knife/blade. I know I'm not on ur title but either way.
