Of AKs and Rucks

So how many of you AK and Ruck owners use these bad boys? What for? I have found that my AK does everything from making kindling to chopping and prying. Here is a quick clip I made tonight using my AK one handed. Machete style.

I use mine for a measuring tool...or at least I did last winter!

As for Rucks... Well, I sent my user off to Ban. Dang thing is so freakin' beautiful now, that I haven't been able to bring myself to use it! :rolleyes::D:D Whoops!

My AK is the only blade I own that isn't a user. Not that it is a perfect safe queen... the coating has smoothed considerably by sheathing. It's gonna take a trip to Ban soon, maybe this summer.

I wish I had a ruck.
Any prospects for a Scrapyard Ruck in the future? Seems like a great blade for them to make.
 
I just love the scale/size of the ruck. Looks to be a convenient length for strapping to the side of a pack (probably why it's called the Ruck).

Oh, youbetcha!! :thumbup: It is so freakin' sharp, that when I swing it through the air, I can catch a glimpse of about a year into the future! ;);) :D ...But seriously, he did a fantastic job on it, especially considering that it was somewhat dinged up along the edge from up near the tip to back about 1/4+ of the blade. It's also now a skinny 5/32" thick on the spine and very light in the hand. :thumbup:

When you get your AK 'Banished', I'm sure that in addition to your own, you will be setting faces to stunned! :D:thumbup:
 
No pics yet, but not too long ago I acquired a Ruck with a great Okuden sheath from a generous fellow Hog. I had an AK, but I prefer the Ruck...at least until the zombies get too close....:D

I like the length and portability. The AK is a fabulous sword, but for short little ol' me, the Ruck is a better choice! ;)
