I've thought long and hard on how to go about this as I'm not usually one to publicly share my misfortunes involving friends and family, and I've decided to tell the story leading up to my thank you...

A couple of months back my 12 year old beagle developed a tumor in a mammary chain. In an effort to cover the cost of the removal and a spey to prevent any future issues I decided to sell off some of the things I've accumulated and no longer use.
Amongst those things was my '21 forum knife. Rather than post it on the exchange and deal with the headache of sorting out the inevitable flipper traffic I reached out to sbh06 sbh06 and asked if he knew anyone who might be interested. He kindly agreed to purchase the knife and even threw a few extra bucks my way to cover the shipping. The vet bill was covered and Lola came home the 5th of August for her recovery.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and a package arrived at my mailbox with two very beautiful pocket slips handmade by Jeremy himself... So thanks again Jeremy, I know it's a bit late, but I appreciate your kindness.

I applaud your priorities.

Glad she is recovering and that it was caught in time.
Very nice slips

This makes me so happy on several levels. I applaud 👏 you both.

Thank you
Thank you.
Thanks for sharing, WW.

Dogs are an amazing gift to us and you are a good person. Hope Lola recovers quickly.
Thanks ferider ferider , almost 2 months now, and she's gained back all the weight she lost, and she's like normal on our walks again. Rabbit season is just around the corner, so I'm looking forward to that. Many fond memories over the years afield.

Here's a picture of both of us, albeit a little less long in the tooth with the first rabbit we ever got.

This is such good news and heartwarming...even though I was bitten by a crazy Beagle once...👍👌👍✌️
Thank you sir, I'm sorry to hear you had an unfortunate occurrence with a beagle. Mine can be a bit testy at times, but for the most part she's pretty mellow.

☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

No thanks necessary at all. I’m glad to hear that Lola has fully recovered.
Well thanks again anyway 😉. I've been enjoying the darker slip for carrying my case stockman, haven't found a companion for then other just yet. Gotta bring myself to switch things up first.

Glad your pup is recovering.

The white cat in my avatar, Daisy, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. At her age, which we estimate to be 15-17, they were talking about putting her down. But the blood tests looked good and we went ahead with the surgery. Not cheap.

However, she came through it just fine, and she is still quite a sweet, loving companion and pretty active for an elderly cat. I'm grateful for every extra day I get with her.

I understand that completely. For what it's worth, my parents cat is approaching 21 years of age. So you could have a long while to enjoy her company.
Great story! I’m happy for you and Lola!
Thank you very much.
