I was looking at the thread about the knives of the TV show "LOST"

I couldn't help but notice that the one character carries a Spyderco Harpy clipped via the pocket clip on a D-ring on his vest. I also noticed that the knife was Replaced at some point on the show by a cheap copy.

I have to wonder if he diddn't lose the origional harpy somewhere in the jungle as a result of this really stupid carry method.

Anyway My point is this: What is the Most bizzare or stupid carry method you have ever tried or seen?, Did it work or fail?

I had a really bad experience with IWB and a Spyderco Veil that kept falling out at inoportune moments and opening up as it hit the floor. Im not sure wether it was the knife or my body type or what but I pretty much stick to front pocket now for EDC.

I always liked IWB, especially with a short folder, 4" handle or so. Front pocket is OK, but the clip can snag. I've seen people carry folders clipped outside their belt, which is really asking for them to snag, unless you wear a shirt outside them.

When it comes right down to it, dropped into a flapped pocket is about the only secure carry.
