Off Center question?

Hi all. Just joined the Emerson Club.
Could no longer resist the call of the CQC 8 WAVES. Just got a chrome standard 8, plain edge, and a black blade, plain edge, Super 8. Wow! What a nasty looking useful style blade. My favorite model of all the E's.
I could not resist and just received another SUPER 8 but with Combo edge and stonewashed finish. It's the best yet IMO, however it's blade is off center towards the left ( locking liner side ) when closed. Not bad enough to rub the liner...yet...! Blade "open" appears dead straight and locks up tight. Other two 8's are dead straight closed and open.
I really don't want to return it to Emerson ( small issue ) if I can get some tweaking advice.
Any of you veteran Emerson owners have a tweak I can do to center that blade closed?

Many thanks,
cutterman

You can play with the pivot tightnes to get it dead on but you will need to give the
whole thing a short while to wear in and smooth out again.
If it is not fixed by doing that it could be the second detent ball on the non locking
side is pushing the blade over too much when closed.

If the blade is not hitting the liners then its not a big deal and you shouldnt really worry about it TBH.

haze is correct as usual.

FWIW most of my EKI's are pretty well centered never had a prob with that, knock on wood.

Thanks guys. Gonna take your advise, use it, and let it break in awhile. Like I said it's just a tad off and not hitting the liner now. I sure do love the blade style on the 8 waves.

Thanks again,

cutterman
