Off centered ET blades?

I went to the store to buy an ET today, but all two that they had had noticeably off centered blades (to the left if you're looking directly at the closed blade). Is that totally normal and part of the design? I really wanted to buy one today, but I'm pretty picky. If it's normal, I'll go back tomorrow.

Thanks.

I played with one at Armes Bastille a couple of months ago. A fun folder once you get used to it, extremly sharp out of the box too. I played with it quite a lot and I'm pretty sure the blade was centered.

I've got one, which is centered just fine.

BTW: The bit-holders on the Victorinox Cyber-series are perfect as wrenches for the bolts. However, you need a pair of wrenches to adjust a couple of them.

Best regards.

Dangit, I went to a different store and they had three ETs...all of their blades were more centered or dead on.

I really like this other store though....well, the ETs move pretty quickly, so, maybe in a month...

id like to see a smaller one -the lock system is excellent-
just didnt like the size

I'd find a slightly smaller one more useful myself...but not so much smaller it warrants an all new model. I'd like a 2.9inch blader, but, this one is close enough....

That's right. What makes it so unique is that really cool opening/locking system. See if you can't find the video for the ET...I think it's on both youtube and google video.

Just curious, but why are you so inclined to buy from the other dealer when another has flawless ones in stock?

What's the name of that girl working there again?

I kind of see the bali esque nature....in that your hand is actually the main "lock" equivalent. But I'm not sure if it's new age...like, I don't feel the need to light some incense and listen to Enya or anything. Just kidding, just kidding!!!

As per this knife store, they're just all nice guys there, and they put up with me hanging out there and talking to their employees for a couple hours at a time about the latest Spyderco offerings and what not. Basically, they seem like good people, their prices are the best I've seen for brick and mortar, if not comparable to NGK. Also, their ETs are 75 and House of Blades are 100, so that's a pretty big difference to me. It's worth it to me to spend maybe 15 bucks more to buy it in person and be able to check it out, get it the same day and not have to pay shipping, but I do have limits.

Sometimes I just bring parts of my collection up from time to time and show them and chill. The people that work there are real knife guys.

If you're in DFW, you folks should probably visit the Knife Shoppe in the Parks Mall in Arlington.

That's where I got my Spec Bump and I was pleased with the experience. Are they any good at sharpening? The edge of my Spec Bump is lopsided and I want it fixed, but I'm too lazy to spend that much time on the Sharpmaker...

Hmm, I assume so, they're all sincere knife enthusiasts and great guys in general. I can't recommend it enough. The guys at house of blades also do sharpening.
