I am Moving to Oregon this evening from Very Sunny SoCal.

Could be days/weeks/Months before I am able to check my email or get back here to post.

Rural Oregon, Mail boxs in a long row, Three miles of Dirt road away from Where I will be.

4,650' elevation, a River nearby, Raccoons, Deer and Bear at the front door.

Travel Trailer Heaven in the Summer, maybe a might Chilly in Winter months.

We are looking for a place to buy, But till then we will be a little Remote.

Around 50 miles north of Klamath Falls, and 22 miles east of a Small town Called Chiloquin.

Nearest Mall is in Medford I think, maybe 100 and a bit miles away

Plenty to do with my knives there.(at Home not the Mall Silly)

YOU LUCKY BASTID!!! I am at my wife all the time to move out of this rat race in So Cal. Well congrats bro. It's a good thing for you right? :)

You'll also have mountain lion, skunks, porcupines, possum by the carload and probably a heaping of feral cats too! :D

I too will be a fellow refugee on Aug 1st.

I love many things about California, but after 31years there are too many things that just bite here. But its Henderson NV for me...

Hey Andre,good luck with your move , your getting close to where I live, I'm in Northern California just south of the border.
My wife has a retired uncle that lives in Chiloquin.
Very peaceful and laid back there:D
 
I am also envious i have only seen pics of oregon and dayumm it looks awwwwsome!!!! After you get all settled in i will be waiting for a invite to help control the bear population!!:D CONGRATS AND HAVE FUN!!!:thumbup: :thumbup:
 
Good for you Andre! (I'm a "refugee" from the PRC myself).

Ya know.....Portland will be within easy reach.....and Blade West is in Portland....in the middle of September!
 
Thank you for the good thoughts and words.

I got to wait till prolly 10:00 or 12:00 this evening before I go, a little warm to be pulling this big Trailer up the several big Grades I need to get across before I get into the Central Valley, so I am waiting for the "Cool" of the evening.

Yes I am thinking a Visit to Blade Show West is in my Future.

The plan had been to move in the spring, several months ago, so as to have maximum time to look for a place to buy before cold weather and Snow hits.

Just did not work out.
 
Well, I made it here, I have some limited access, no email, but looks like I can post, and I can certainly read the forums so life is good.

Leaving at night was the right thing to do, I should have waited till after dark to go north of Redding as well, Live and learn.

Sure are a lot of Stars to be seen at night here, and you can read by Moonlight, on big moon nights, no real work done with the knives yet.
 
Glad you had a safe trip. 4,600 ft must be nice, what a place to be, congrats:thumbup:
