Machax or BK9....back and forth and back and forth. This place was great for research and opinions (thanks for those who have done in depth reviews.) I don't need both, but i sure do want both. Caught up a bit in the Machex madness and I know better than asking you addicts which one, as both would be the only answer. As I am new to this addiction and finally thinking seriously about sharpening methods, the Machex appears to present a less than straight forward shapening solution at some point. Plus the fact that I can't yet buy one....so from that point it leans me to the 9. Now add beer.....
So Mrs. Carrerajim is out of town and I spent some time with the BK2 making kindling for the fire and with the BK11 opening beers and surfing the world wide web......not all at the same time but pret'near. I blame that combination-batoning some ash and wishing I had something a bit longer than my awesome BK2, the influences of micro-brewed goodness and the access of global purchasing power at my fingertips, for an early morning impulse buy.
So now I wait no more for the dawn of the new Machax, in the early hours I pulled the trigger on a screaming deal on the BK9. My waiting shifts from when will the Machax be available to when will my BK9 show up. It's good to be off the fence on which to get. I can quit checking Tomars for a while and move on with things. The Machex will come someday and I'll probably figure a way to talk myself into it, but I'll already have worn some coating off my 9 by then.
Carry on-
