  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Machax or BK9....back and forth and back and forth. This place was great for research and opinions (thanks for those who have done in depth reviews.) I don't need both, but i sure do want both. Caught up a bit in the Machex madness and I know better than asking you addicts which one, as both would be the only answer. As I am new to this addiction and finally thinking seriously about sharpening methods, the Machex appears to present a less than straight forward shapening solution at some point. Plus the fact that I can't yet buy one....so from that point it leans me to the 9. Now add beer.....

So Mrs. Carrerajim is out of town and I spent some time with the BK2 making kindling for the fire and with the BK11 opening beers and surfing the world wide web......not all at the same time but pret'near. I blame that combination-batoning some ash and wishing I had something a bit longer than my awesome BK2, the influences of micro-brewed goodness and the access of global purchasing power at my fingertips, for an early morning impulse buy.

So now I wait no more for the dawn of the new Machax, in the early hours I pulled the trigger on a screaming deal on the BK9. My waiting shifts from when will the Machax be available to when will my BK9 show up. It's good to be off the fence on which to get. I can quit checking Tomars for a while and move on with things. The Machex will come someday and I'll probably figure a way to talk myself into it, but I'll already have worn some coating off my 9 by then.

Carry on-
Jim

Nice Jim!

I'm in a similar situation as I just got my 9 a couple months ago and it hasn't even seen much use yet. I'd like to get a Machax eventually, but not on day one.

I'll probably cave and order one after people start posting reviews and excessive amoints of Machax pics

I am also in that boat. I hovered over the ''confirm'' button for several minutes today about a BK9 purchase. I think Im gonna wait until my brother gets his machax and see how I like it before i buy either one. (although Im actually ''buying'' the machax...gonna be a surprise present for him since he likes it so much, sneakily turning him into a Beckerhead lol)

Wait, it's worth it, and yes it does. Mach-AX ;) I can't speak for the new ones since I don't have one either, the filthy dogrobbers, but my current older machaxes will chop circles around the 9
