Off to the dentist this AM.

Bill, as many dentist trips as you've had, I'm surprised that you don't just get fed up and have your teeth yanked out for a set of dentures.

Your patience and persistence always impress me.

Dental techs and even guys who make false teeth for a living have told me it's best to hang on to your natural teeth if you can.

Hell, I've got a molar that has $1500 invested in it. 509 for a root canal, 500 for a crown, and 500 for periodontal surgery.

Think of all the khuks that would have bought!
(Thank the Higher Power for dental insurance, too.)

Most of my dental problems have been caused by neglect in my (misspent) youth, and a fondness for sweets and popcorn.

Hang on to those choppers, Uncle! No pun intended.

You could be right, Harry, and it'd be a lot cheaper!

Mike, I am trying to hang on to the few I have left and as you said it can get expensive.

My teeth took a dramatic turn for the worse when I lived in Nepal even though my dentist was the Royal Dentist! Yep, the guy who worked on the king's teeth worked on mine. I hope he had better luck with Birendra! I remember xrays were about 50 cents and I got a crown for $40 (and he overcharged me because I was a queerie!). The crown he did failed and I lost the tooth. He pulled two more that might have been saved here. When I finally got back to the states I had to have peridontal surgery.

Ah, the good old days!
