I cant make it out this weekend unfortunately, or i'd be there. Instead I'll be at the NCCA Knife show in Mystic CT.

Justin are you going to be at Mystic both days? If so, I'll see you on Sunday, Kook will be with me. Kook is hanging with the Southern Boys today at the South County Museum.

I only made it down there today, and and wont be back tomorrow because iv'e got to show this car that i'm selling to a perspective buyer. Got to chat with Nick Rossi and Mace and several others there though at least. I was only there from 10 to 2 and had to get back to do work on the car.

Ashokan was a good time (they all are) they now have a nail tree in which visiting smiths make distinctive nails so that people can recognize that they were there. Sam made a nail that had to be almost two feet long, I made a 1084/15n20 damascus nail from scraps in my toolbox. Lucien Avery was a great demonstrator, and I learned a lot of tricks for doing household and domestic ironwork (and a few things that will likely start showing up in my hiltwork)

Now I am looking forward to the Bladesmith's Ashokan in the fall.
