Who out there in knife land watches Alone? I believe Alans got this. He brought the kukri:thumb up:What do you guys think?

Yes I have watched some episodes and I was surprised at the lack of tools most of the men failed to bring or utilize. The one guy taught by his father and building a small village..lol...should take it if he keeps his mental side strong....don't know his name but he's the most impressive to me. Still think Survivorman, Les Stroud, is the best real deal on tv from that standpoint. He does it all and doesn't sleep in motels at night when the camera is off.

I recall this being like the third thread about Alone in a relatively short timespan. Is this show that good?

Yeah Fish, I enjoy it.At first it was ok but now they are only 4 left and they have been out in the pacific northwest for 31 days.It is awesome to see the ways they come up with food and survive. You should check it out.

Great content, but very poorly produced. Its hard to follow the show with the constant interruptions caused by the show jumping around from one camper to the next every few minutes making it painful to watch. The producers should break the hour down into separate full productions for each camper from start to finish, making it easier to watch and to heighten the drama. Its easier to watch now that they are down to a few contestants. It was impossible to watch in the beginning and I chose to skip several of the first episodes even with a PVR. Without a PVR forget it, a root canal would be less painful.

I lost interest after the second or third guy had a crying jag and quit.

You think you could do better? It's easy to criticize from the comfort of one's recliner but, a bit of a different story after a few days by yourself in the forest with little to no food. Imo no one knows what it's like until they have done it and it can break even the toughest of people.

I'm not so sure that its the content, its actually pretty interesting. Rather its how History serves up that content all ground up. I watched it last night and fell asleep in the middle of it. If the quality of conventional television shows get any worse I'm pulling the plug on my satellite subscription.

There is a long running thread over in the Outdoors section. But, I have found the show interesting and sometimes a bit boring. Life is boring however for the most part when you are dealing with basic things. You can watch full episodes over in the history channel web site if you don't have cable.
