What sort of booze do becker heads like to drink? I'm both a scotch and a bourbon man :) for bourbon I usually go for bulleit , jacks , makers mark or buffalo trace. I'm into all sorts of scotch. Today my
Local bottle shop had this George dickel , so I thought I'd buy a bottle for when my bk4 , bk14 , and bk9 arrive to try it out. image.jpg

I'm mostly a bourbon guy, sometimes rye. One of these days I'll snap a pic of my wall-of-shame shelf of empty bottles...

As my father-in-law used to say, "C'mon son, let's get Turkified!" :D

Bourbon on the rocks (Jim Beam) and single malt scotch on the rocks with a splash of water (lately, 12 year old Macallan). I only like Kentucky bourbons and don't care for Tennessee sour mash. I can be quite content with nothing more than a bottle of Jim Beam and a glass of ice.

These are most of the bourbons and ryes (and one Scotch) I've tried in the last couple years...

i try everything.

sometimes i even buy them.

SOMETIMES even more than once.

i like the weird, and the foreign, new, bitters, weird or strong. "straw liqueur", or linee akavit (caraway seeds!)

slivowitz, cognacs, brandy, chartreuse (both colors), various moonshines, potcheen, bourbon, whiskey, rye, rum, tequilia

i tend to avoid most things anise flavored, because that's like "the default taste" :D

various liqueurs too. esp fruit stuff. cherry. apple. all that. some of them are dangerously sweet, and then you die.

don't seem to much hit plain vodkas

and of course wine, beer, mead (and variants - yum), and ...

That's because it's so completely horrid it covers up anything, no matter how nasty it is. I could live the rest of my days without tasting anything anise-flavored, and that would be just fine.

I enjoy many different drinks. Whiskeys are my favorite; I really enjoy Bourbon and Scotch. As for beer, I find I rarely drink anything but stouts and Belgians. I love the rich, creamy, complex and fully bodied profiles of both--which is probably why I gravitate towards them.

All that said, I really enjoy tasting, testing, pondering my drinks. I'm not very old and I haven't tried many (at least not compared to some of our resident beckerhead connoisseurs :D) different beers and whiskeys, but I try to savor each one.

But hey, a case of PBR always works in a pinch :D

Not much of a drinker here, but when I do, it's an occasional glass of wine, and sometimes rum and coke. About it really.

Beer. It's almost all I know.

Be they lambics or lagers
Or bitters or bocks
Or pilsners or porters
Or mead sweet and clear.
Whether stouts or old weizens
Or ales brown or pale,
It's the same to our tankards,
Just bring us more beer.

(even though mead is a honey wine.....)

Four Spirits Distillery. They also make a Web Foot Vodka (Oregon University Ducks) and a Slap Tail Vodka (Oregon State University Beavers)

I'm also a Maker's Mark ambassador. Love it!

Beer - "it's the cause of and solution to all mankind's problems" - Homer J. Simpson
I don't really like distilled spirits; too strong on the alcohol. Bailey's Irish Cream (my family namesake) on occasion, red wine or port (very infrequently) now and then.

I was drinking PBR long before hipsters decided they should drink it because it wasn't "cool", and I still drink it even though it's "cool" now.

Same deal with Hamm's... I just like it. I was having nightmares and withdrawals after moving down here because no one carried it. Suddenly a few weeks ago I saw a sixer of tall-boys in the nearest grocery store... I saw a warm soft glow around it and heard angels sing.... :)

Every now and then I get a hankering for an Old Style or LaCrosse Lager... it's like liquid sweet corn that gives you a buzz.
