The use of that toy was 2 times to many. Bad thinking:thumbdn:

Not So. A steadfast defense of the home islands would have cost a probable 1 million American KIA and 2-3 million WIA. Japanese military and civilian casualties would have likely been 3-5 times that, plus the near total annhilation of the Japanese economy and loss of almost all historic places.
As the commander-in-chief of the armed forces no American president could face his people and say,"We have a weapon that can devastate the enemy's cities with virtually no American casualties, but instead I will have a devastating ground invasion that will needlessly cost 3-5 million American casualties and 2-3 times that in Japanese casualties."
The firebombing of Tokyo and Dresden killed more people than the nuclear bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
Some of you europeans should have taken a lesson from Adolf Hitler and think about where things would be without superior firepower and the political will to use it for self preservation.
Holland-take a lesson from Audrey Hepburn.

Do you also aprove nuking China for the benifit of economy? That's my point
I know the story behind the use of the ultimate weapon in WW2, 'teacher'.
It should never been used again.

I think you missed the point Sherlock.
The economy and history and civilian population I was referring to saving was Japanese. The military casualties that were saved were both American and Japanese.
If it was not for the good offices of men with vision, like Frank Knox and others, the targets for the atomic bombs would have been Tokyo and Kyoto. Using Nuclear weapons saved alot more people than they killed.
You really should study the history of your patriots. Not using whatever weapons are at hand to preserve your country from the Hitlers and Tojo's of the world is bad. Out here we say that if you're not playing to win, you're playing to lose.:jerkit:

No, you listen Dr Watson, the case is not about the bombs in WW2,
but about the stupid pic remark in Mr Lavan's post. I think placing
a jerker is not very respectful and tells a lot about the sender. I don't want anymore discussion with you about this off topic item.I know how you stand in the world. That's enough.
