Just a reminder for the new folks that non-Becker threads should go in the Off Topic (snark) Thread if you want to target a Becker audience. Otherwise, there may be better venues here at BFC.
The snark thread may seem like a closed circle of pinky-extended tea drinkers, but its original purpose was to absorb off-topic material and allow the Becker crowd some range in its discussion. The snark element evolved naturally since almost everyone here (myself included) is a smartass. Don't be put off by the lighthearted banter though. If you ask a serious question in there, you'll get a serious answer.
We don't want to curtail discussion entirely since Becker interests range wildly. At the same time though, this is the Becker subforum, and new threads should have some connection to Becker knives, Becker products, Beckerheads,etc.
 
Super! I'd like to speak for all those who are out of the loop and say that no one has any idea what a snark is, now I do.

Only thing that I knew about a snark is to be careful That it's not a boojum per Lewis Carrol
 
Same thing. Some have feathers and bite. Others have whiskers and scratch.
For the uninitiated, snark = snide remark. Put on your thick skin and get in there and mix it up.
 
Some of us are cultured, sir. It's easy to do, hell I've been guilty of it . Start a thread in the Becker subforum that has nothing to do with Beckers and then throw in a BK&T product. It's stretching the rules quite a bit.

For the new guys, we ain't really that cliquish. Like the Biscuit says, we may seem rude, but we can be serious for a min or two. Put on your water wings and jump in. You'll be Mike Phelpsing it up in no time!

I suppose this one is aimed at me since I had the last off topic post "Another Bacon and Becker thread." If I could delete and comply I would although it seems the damage is done. And in looking at the thread I can now tell I made a mistake because the vets avoid posting in it like its the plague. Anyway, I'm going camping for ten days so hopefully I'll fall off a cliff or get mauled by a bear.


(Self- For future reference no bacon threads and no TM Hunt threads) Check!

Nah, I think it's general reference but the most recent straw on the back being the mora thread posted recently
 
Which Becker/Mora combo would be best for skinning a snark? I'm in, thanks for the chance. You need a BK9. You can't not have a 9.

And to think...I would've posted my Mora related questions in the Becker chat thread...SMH...Why no sticky??

Did nit know what to do with that cast iron post though, thankfully fir me my post got drowned out by Dex's awesome muffins...FML..

Correct. The rule is that we brush up against the boundaries of good taste without scaring the women and children.

Yeah, the Mora thread, because it contained no Becker content, just reminded me that I needed to remind the choir.
It's been posted before by the other mods, but we can't have a goulash of threads devoted to other brands or gear here.
Comparison posts? Fine by me. If that thread had asked us to compare a Mora Bushcraft and a BK-16, I would have happily let it slide.
