Friday the world lost not only a great man but a dear friend, father, and soldier. I am requesting prayers for the family, freinds, and brothaer to many. SSG Mickey Peacock was that guy at times he drove you in sane with his joking around but he always had your back. I will miss him dearly!!!! He left a family and friends behind due to demons and losses his service to our great nation caused him, but never once did he complain and always said it was his greatest love besides his kids. If you know of a veteran keep an eye on them and be there for them you never know when they need a shoulder to lean on they have been there for you..

RIP SSG Mickey Peacock
The soldier stood and faced his God Which must always come to pass...
He hoped his shoes were shining Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, you soldier, How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and Said,"No, Lord, I guess I ain't...
Because those of us who carry guns Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent, Because the streets are awfully tough.
But, I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime When the bills got just too steep,
And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place Among the people here...
They never wanted me around Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was a silence all around the throne Where the saints had often trod...
As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgment of his God,
"Step forward now you soldier,
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

I wish you and your family my condolences,

Prayers sent!

Always liked this poem.

Ascension

And if I go,
while you're still here...
Know that I live on,
vibrating to a different measure
--behind a thin veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
so you must have faith.
I wait for the time when we can soar together again,
--both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to its fullest.
And when you need me,
Just whisper my name in your heart,
...I will be there.

The family and you will be in my prayers. the sacrifice of this man to our country will NOT be forgotten.

Smoke and Prayers up, brother.

My condolences on your loss.

You'll be in my prayers, Sometimes God just needs a few new angels, he's taken a few of my friends recently, Just know they are looking down on us wondering why we are so sad.

Not all our fallen soldiers die in the field.
They may have been done in there, but live on for a while not letting anyone know just how badly they were truly injured.
I hope and pray that our system will improve its ability to catch these soldiers and save them.
Its a sad world when a drugged out ex singer gets 6 articles on yahoo when they die of an overdose, but someone like your friend and like so many others passes we hear nothing about it unless they intersect our lives somehow.

Prayers to you and yours and him and his for their pain and suffering.

Here we say in Hebrew "May you will never know anymore sorrow" . Sadly we have the same tragedies in this corner of the world too . RIP SSG Mickey Peacock .
