I like to read books that feature good stories involving knives. While people like Dick Marcinko tell a good story, and occasionally have a knife which takes a center role, I'm wondering who you all think is the best writer of fiction with knives in it? I'm not trolling either, I'm just curious because you don't see a lot of good writing which has knives involved! Thanks!

Sincerely,
Anthony

One good example would be "The Green Hills of Africa"--Ernest Hemingway. It's a true story of a hunting safari. Ernest fields dresses, I believe, an impala or some similar animal with a small folder.

Greg Walkers series Springblade had alot of knifework in it, if you look around e-bay or amazon you can still find copies of it for sale.

The main character is a Vampire that carries a silver bladed dagger that gets converted to a switchblade with a dragon on the handle. The blade snaps open when she presses the dragon's ruby eye. The blade was intended to slay other members of the changing races, who didn't regenerate damage from silver.

Not exactly knives, but the Barsoom series are full of swords. Generally two per person, if memory serves. :)

I haven't found too many books with much knife talk in them. One that I did read with lots of knife talk was by a guy called
Sharp Phil. Sword and Sorcery, lots of knives and swords, even some guns, I enjoyed it.

Eric Van Lustbader. Not the Nicholas Linnear/Ninja series (which had some nice knife/sword scenes), but the Sunset Warrior series. It's all about knife and sword fighting. Also helps that I've seen him at every New York Custom knife show for the past 20 years, and he's a well known knife collector....
