We had a blizzard event last night. Drifts one half inch to as much as three quarter inch. Temperatures plummeted to 29 degrees. We will try to holdout!

Where's Mark Knapp from Fairbanks. I'm sure he has some 'survival' tips.

Lol!

Paul,

I'm glad to see you finished that custom sheath for the Ram in time.

Hate to think of your baby shivering out in the sleet.

Yer buddy,

Paul, if you need some chains for your pickup tires, I would be glad to overnight some your way. But, the delivery man may need a few more days to get them to your door?

I wonder how far north you would need to drive to buy a snow shovel?

Stay hunkered down until it is clear!

Oh my....

Paul, things will only get worse before they get better.
The plows... endless lines of MONSTER plow trucks with their HUGE sparking blades(likely 5160 @ 54rc) roaming the streets at will - sometimes in packs - shooting out tsunami-like waves their white death onto your lawn!!
And the traffic carnage.... ohhhh God, the carnage.

Just stay put.
Don't drive. Anywhere!
Don't walk anywhere.
Don't even try to leave the house.
The phones and internet will likely be down or about to go down.

The white death will soon freeze into a solid sheet of ice stretching from you to San Antone(is that how ya'll say it?). NOTHING will move.
Then, it will begin to melt and seep into the ground and saturating everything with its colorless, odorless poison.

Panic if you need to, but just not in front of the kids.

I feel for ya Paul. Good luck ......... my friend. Good luck.

I could break out my stock of Twinkies and send some emergnecy supplies if it gets worse.

I fully understand the situation, with having the Ram and all. Now of you drove a Silverado as I do, well, it is all sunshine and happy days. :D

(did it really take that long for someone to go there?)

Hang in there Paul. And remember Carbon Monoxide is odorless and colorless ;)

Paul,

You should buy a snow rake so that your carport roof does not collapse.

Bet you had to turn on the heat, too.

Thanks for a good chuckle.

In Baton Rouge everybody stayed inside when it snowed and waited until it melted, which usually wasn't too long.

Funny!

I am in Washington state. We had two "snowpocalypse" years in a row in my last city.
92.6 inches in 2008
93.6 inches in 2009

I had nothing but fun in it! Snowboarding in the parks while the kids sled, driving my 4x4 truck around at night, just for fun!

Seattle WA will get an inch or two, and declare a winter emergency. Crashes and shutdowns on a world ending scale! I can imagine in Texas, there are quite a few very poor snow drivers! Not a lot of reason to have a 4x4, let alone snow tires and chains!

Your welcome to keep all the snow down there and keep it from coming up our way !

Paul don't hold your breath. Saw where Katrina people got aid in 2 weeks and now Sandy has been waiting 10 weeks for some help. you might get some relief about July.

Hunker down and endure it. The weather man said this morning that it should be completely gone by early May.

We had approximately 14 flakes per acre a couple of days ago. Walmart sold out of milk and bread within 30 minutes.

Robert

Snow in Baton Rouge is measured by how far apart the flakes are.

A six foot snow is less than a four foot snow.

Perplexes the Yankees.

For a second I thought you were joking around, but after looking at the pics... man you really have it rough. Hang in there 'ol buddy.
