Thought y'all might get a kick outta this pic of our daughter Carrie at the barrel races. I will try to get around and post another pic with Carrie's leg about 6" or less from the barrel while turning the corner so to speak.:)
Carrie has been winning a little money for about the last year now so I guess she's gonna stick with it.
She's also got one of our grand daughters riding in the barrel races as well. I haven't yet got a pic of Kelci riding around the barrel where it looks like there isn't any air between her and the barrel at all. :D

Ooops!!!!!:o

WOW!!! That is some riding!!! She looks like a real pro! I wish I could ride like that but the last time I had the chance to ride I was a few years younger! I think I'll be needing more practice!

Very cool pix Yvsa! I like to go see the rodeo and the barrol races at Cheyenne Fronteer Days every year! Great entertainment!

Yvsa,

I just love barrel racing. Those gals get the horsies leaned over like a harley! Any chance of her riding in any rodeos outside of Okla? If she ends up here in S.D., let me know and I'll go shoot her ride.

We were laughing at work today that the Olympic Rodeo competition was probably going to be more popular with our readership than any other sport. But, when your paper covers western S.D, eastern Wyo., and some of N.D. and Neb., that's what you expect... I still can't figure out how rodeo is a Winter event though???

and look at their eyes - both looking at the next barrel, and with the same intensity.

Nice Picture!:)

She makes it look like a lot of fun:D But I'll bet like most things its alotta hard work.

The horse is leaning 45 degrees into the curve which tells a pretty good story. Good action shot.

That is a great picture YVSA.

I tried to ride a Horse once, the F@#~$R ran under a clothes line and knocked me off then stepped on my hand. I weigh 220 so maybe Im to fat for horses. I prefer my car anyways..:D
