Off Topic: Yahoo mail hacked. Anybody help?

Long story here. Basically, I recieved an email from a dear friend. Opened it, and it gave me a weird error message, then an ad for GENIUX. Next thing I know everybody in my address book was sent that ad from me? The next day not only can I not get into my primary email: justicecustomknives@yahoo.com. ...but also an old alternate, sjustice71@yahoo.com I just found out there is an alternate overseas Tele number assigned to that account. Yahoo has not people to talk _ith anymore, and all of the HELP pages require passwords, which I no longer have to secure the accounts?

Yahoo's suggestion is to build a new account?

What about the hacked info in my accounts?

I refuse to call off-shore help lines for assistance.

I recommend ghostmail or protonmail or something similar.

If you have an old gmail account that's ok too. Anonimity-wise is a 0, but at least they seem to keep the spam and hacks at bay.

Yahoo sucks if you get hacked. I got my account hacked two years ago and it never let me long in again. After waiting for almost 2 hours on the phone for customer support I gave up and to this day I haven't gotten back on it. Luckily I didn't have anything important on their

You guys are right. The tough part is losing 15 years of contact info, and any personal data related to money.
