you should see the Official bank checks I got in the mail the other day :D
I'll bet they are real :rolleyes:
one for $11,600.00
and one for
$4,800.00
would be nice though :)
they want nme to send a big order of knives NOW! :D

Oh, no need to worry about that, my gullibility is only common amongst friends. It's funny how you can become a community/family/friendamagier groupish thing over the internet. But anyways, I trust most everyone here pretty much- expect to see more homer moments here as people begin to realize what I just said is truth.
The last 3 offers I've had were respectivley from Nigeria, Argentina, and China.

I'm thinking you meant Nigeria. That is unless there is now a scam that originated in the Niagara district in N.Y. or Ontario, Canada.

Dan is this your way of saying that you don't have enough stock left after Christmas to fill a couple of medium sized orders like this?

The wife just spent too much this year and my stock is all run out.

the bank will charge me $25.00 for a returned Check.. :mad:

We jewelers get these orders from Nigeria regularly,often by international TTL operator.They want immediate shipment,usually within 24 hours,they will pay all overnight charges.They will arrange for UPS to pick it up that very day.They provide bank verification and all.Sometimes they even offer to pay by Mastercard.Problem is,by the time the check gets to the bank (account closed),or the charge is denied,your products are on the way to Nigeria,with no way to stop them.

what happened here is
they want a small order sending you a check for more than the order then
want you to send a bank check of your own ( a good one ) for the bal, to one of their buddies that they owe money to, there are many versions of this.
mean while their Check bounces because it's a forgery or the like.
 
Gee I'd like to help you there Dan but that article in Guns Magazine on my hunters is making it hard to keep my own inventory levels up. Maybe the next time.
 
I have found a way to handle them...I get a lot of those requests too.
Most want to use the credit card. I tell them to take the credit card to the nearest Western Union office and have them wire me the money. I'll discount the order for the extra amount.

Never had any takers.
