Just got my Summer 2019 copy of Eagles Call, the magazine of the National Eagle Scout Association, BSA. There is an article all about the new, USA made, Official Eagle Scout Knife Collection - made by Camillus. This is good for those two organizations and Scout Knife collectors, but I hope it doesn’t replace or impact Buck Knife Company as the maker of the Official Eagle Scout / Buck 500 Duke. OH

camillus and tooling is long gone, isnt it? so acme united owns their name nowadays, but dont think the tooling. so makes me wonder whos making them under that name here?

maybe buck under another partnership like the buck remington deal?;)

Could be JB, the picture I saw at the BSA On-Line shop showed two fixed blades and two modern single-blade folders. They looked more like old Gerber’s than Buck’s - I’m not sure, but at around $150 to $180 they are not going to be everyday knives for Scouts! OH

interesting. yep agree there Sir.

neat topic looking forward to learning more and as ya said hopefully buck isnt out of the scouts.....

The article I found says made BY Eagle Scouts. It also talked about Camillus like it was the same company it always was. I’m looking forward to the rest of the story.

This is the article I read today, mentions USA made in the center column of the article. It would be cool if this was a Buck built product under the Camillus name (as the original Camillus made Buck 300 series and Remingtons for many years). However, it doesn’t have any “Buck” looks to it. OH

you're right it doesnt look buck at all, more like a Utica or ontario type design.....
