Well, there are two fugitives on the lose this evening, and they could be in the hills behind my house. A father and son, murderer and armed robber respectively, escaped from Wyoming incarceration last week. They were spotted around Fort Belknap Thursday. The 'grapevine' says the Fort Belknap police searched the hills today, including Mission Canyon. 4 policemen came to our small town this afternoon and looked around.

I wish B Travis were still here with his Cougar hounds....

Anyway, I've got a 1911 on the desk beside me.

I heard their van was found north of the border. Well, my border at least. Sorry our trash blew into your state Munk.

No Sweat, AC.
While looking this up on the webb, I found an article which suggested many sexual offenders were moving into Wyoming because of laxer laws. I hope Wyoming tightens up, maybe enacts a Jessica's law, because it looks like we'll be moving back to Wyoming someday.

My two favorite states are Wyoming and Montana.

Watcherbutt bro! Get them kids to safety and lock her down.

Had a couple of those here a few weeks back...I was taking the kids back home to my wife's house and she called to warn me that two guys had kidnapped someone and they were on the loose in my town (a very tiny town btw). Went back inside and grabbed the only weapon I had: my 20" Kobra.

I'd rather of had my Les Baer .45 with 3 loaded clips, but that's in the other house...long story...

Stay safe my friend!!

Good. I'll stop worrying about your clan now.

Munk,

The Wyo legislation just passed a tougher sexual offender law this session. I haven't had time to keep up to date, I just remember seeing the headline. They must have gotten the same info that you did.

My first ever job was working for a kite store.

When I was about 11 years old a store opened up on the boardwalk at 2nd Street in Ocean City, MD called the Kite Loft. I would hang around the store and look goggle-eyed at the exotic array of kites, calculating how many years I'd have to accumulate my allowance to buy one. (In retrospect it was very similar to my first visit to the H.I. Online Store :D )

Anyhow the owner, who was a really nice guy, figured out a great way to get rid of the annoying kid who hung around the store all day. He handed me a 45 foot long mylar dragon kite, which in those days was a novelty in Ocean City, and a stack of business cards and told me to "go fly a kite."

My job was to stand on the beach and fly the kite and if anyone inquired about it, hand them a business card and point them to the store. The owner paid me 50 cents for every business card that came back to him. I did this for a week or two. I think I might have made a whole $3.00 but it didn't matter, I had a high level of job satisfaction.

The little shop at 2nd and Boardwalk has since greatly expanded into a very successful business, you can check them out here.

So Munk, if you need any help around the shop I'm eminently qualified to go fly a kite. ;)

A place like Casper needs a Kite store. The wind blows and blows. The one thing about the Rocky Mountain West...and the wind.
