We got the call from from Derek today and this is the official product name and pricing for the new "full" size Commander.

He wanted us to let every one on the Emersom Forum know the developing details. Derek said he will add-on comments and announcements soon.

The offical name is: "Super Commander"

They will have the 050 thick liners and latest engineering improvements as found in the mini-Commander.

One side of the blade will feature Emerson "Lethal Edge" skull logo (a first), the other side will have our logo, and of course these will all have the "Lethal Edge" pocket clips.

There will be special sets featuring the QD kydex sheath, presentation zippered bag, and removable Emerson embroidered patches with velcro backs.

Serialized, starting from #21. The first 20 are reserved for Ernie.

Factory retail pricing for these limited pre-production pieces will be $369.95 each version.

Proto's will be ready soon for pre-view.

Revised totals for each version:

50 in hard chrome with OD handles
150 in Blk-tI with black handles

ALL of these LTD ED pieces will be plain edged. The production models down the road will be available with combo edges.

Hey Josh!! THanks for the update, buddy! I still believe Derek and Ernie would have gone for "ES1-P" if brought to their attention in a timely manner. :D

Oooooo.... I get one of 50?! Cooooolllll.... The new logo sounds awesome too! :D $370, huh... well, for a limited edition, it's worth it.

We wouldn't be able to get Ernie to zero grind 'em, would we?? Pleeeaseee??? LOL

Glad to hear they're all plain edge too! Excellent!!! :D
 
:eek: Out of my range for the pre-prodo models. I hope the production pieces are less, as the knives sound terrific.
 
Josh: Thanks for the Commander info. Congrats to all who were able to secure pre-orders. As for me, maybe a production model one day.

I'm still waiting for the Mini's!!! ;)

MSRP pricing on Emerson Knives and "street retail" are 2 very differnt things.

MSRP on a regular COmmander is $200+. They don't hit the level of the "pricing" you are probably familiar with, until after the competetive dealer discounting; <$180.00, etc.

Keep those factors in mind when looking to pricing for Emerson Knives or any knife product. ;)

I can live with it. :D Although ES1-P was really growing on me.
I'll have to wait for the production pieces.....it's out my price range for the time. Damn Ford Credit!!! :barf:
 
For $369.95 I will get a Strider AR or Strider GB custom folder but compared to the custom ESM-1 price, it is a bargin. The Super Commander sounds like a great Emerson folder. I am sure that they will sell fast. I hope it sells for much less. Will it ever become a regular production folder?
