Aloha ALL,

Before picking up my daughter from school today, the post lady dropped off a box from Boker Germany. In it included a folder, and the production RNR FB!!!

I must apologize in advance for the cr*ppy pics, but it is already voggy-night time here in rainy Hawaii, but I am so excited, that I had to share about this one NOW, instead of waiting to take pics of it out in the rain tomorrow. So here it is, the Boker Plus/CLB Design RNR:

The top one is a pre-production model, totally sterile. Below is the actual production RNR. Notice that the finish on the production model is much smoother than the pre, and it came wicked...and I mean wicked SHARP!

The rumors were true about the sheath on the RNR, it is indeed Kydex! Kinda on the large side though, and grabs the RNR very well when sheathed! The RNR sheath will accept a large Tek Lok:

Here is a shot in hand:

As mentioned before, the production RNR has a much smoother finish. Especially on my Camo-Cutouts. Hard to tell from these shots, but I also mentioned something about my cr*ppy pics before also! LOL!!! OBTW, killer lanyard on the pre RNR was done by The Lanyard Zone and is a one of a kind!

The RNR came in a BIG black Boker Plus box with a ball chain for neck carry. I gotta say, the Kydex sheath, at least the one that came with my RNR grips the knife with a vengeance!!! I have to push off the corner of the sheath to get the RNR out...I tried to draw normally but I almost got decapitated!!! LOL! I attribute this to the sheath being brand new, and rather have it tight and wear a bit than being too loose. I am wearing it now, and I can feel the weight of it, but nothing uncomfortable...

This is a VERY versatile FB...yeah, kinda odd looking, but that's what folks said about Glocks also when they first came out.:p

God bless and take care!!!

WOW, that is super sharp looking Amigo :thumbup:. I've got to remember to get some of those ultra cool looking laynards from The Laynard Zone . Hope the cold is all gone.

Oh sweet jesus, it is finally here....now to find a way to procure one soon.

Great stuff Chad! Looks like this one will be very interesting.

YES............YES! I have been waiting for this one. Good job knifebro! I cannot wait to obtain one of these!

Will it sharpen using crock sticks/V sharpeners; or must one sharpen by hand?

Aloha student99,

YES...crock sticks should work fine. Just don't dull it to the max and then try to use them crock types...keep your edge maintained no matter what type of sharpening system you use.;)

God bless!

Alrighty...

Mahalo MUCH to all who posted here.

RNR sitrep: The sheath is tight. VERY tight. So I abandoned neck carry and transferred to Large Tek Lok, canted right hand draw. (This way, I can simply place it on my left side for a cross draw without messing with the Tek!) Noticed that the draw is MUCH easier now.

Also noticed when I was breaking down some boxes today that the the tip of the RNR is good for catching the sides of the box that are taped, and the belly is good for cutting the tape running the length of the box. No WAY to over penetrate with that belly, possibly cutting whatever is valuable or fragile or whatever when opening a box across the top.

I mean, I guess you could if you applied a ton of pressure, but you catch what I am saying right?

I plan on carrying this one and using it as much as possible for sometime now that I have a sheath.:D

God bless and be aware that the RNR comes WICKED S-H-A-R-P...

You can use a hairdryer to heat up the kydex and adjust the tension to your liking and make it easier to draw the knife.
