This is the place to post helpful tips and hints on how to clean a swiss army knife that has made it's way around and became dirty, gritty, and not as snappy.
Whether its running it through the washing machine in a pocket or scrubbing it with a toothbrush under WD40
Feel free to post your ideas here

I've scrubbed mine with a soapy brush under running water and dry any remaining bits of water with compressed air. I've never had one get dirty enough to get "gritty" or lose any snap.

Wait till the wife leaves, then use whatever soap is on the sink and give it a wash. I rinse with as hot water as I can stand, it drys quicker thay way. Then a spray of Quick Smart Penetrene if I think it needs it.

Here is a photo i posted elsewhere. I dont usually let it get this dirty but soap and water fixed it.

To be honest I personally would have used a mora here. 😂

Simple washing with soap & water, then dry with compressed air. Every now & then a rub down/polish of the scales with Brasso (works wonders at removing the fine scratches & blemishes). From memory, this Vic Spartan is over 25 years old.

I just had this Alox Old Cross show up super gritty with basically no snap at all on any tool. Dish soap water soak and scrubbed with an old toothbrush, followed by a solid spray down with WD40 and the thing is literally good as new. Super snappy and zero wobble on the blade or any implements.
