Hey Guys....
Well I'm back from my hunt...
WOW!!! What a trip that was..Don't know where to start...
Arrived last monday afternoon,,got settled in, went and checked some baits.. Everything was being nailed, some of the baits were double hit, which means, they were cleaned out when we got there in the morning,,re-baited and hit again before we got back to hunt.
Very impressive numbers of bears...
Everyone seen bears, a lot of sows with cubs, nearly every bait had them (25+ baits)...
Wednesday night is when things got interesting....
We arrived back at the cottage to find a couple young ladies had taken occupancy. That's cool..

By Thursday night, there were at least 8 young ladies total, 8 slightly impared young ladies,, who were getting ready for a wedding. Going into detail about this week would require an entirely new thread,,so I'll leave it at that..
Eric being a hapily married man, and wanting to stay happily married refrained, however hard it was to be anywhere new Nudity of any kind.

Which from what I understand there was plenty of.
Ohhh ya,almost forgot. Thursday night at 6pm I shot a nice 150lb average sow with my Excalibur Exocet at 21 yards.. That was awesome.
We used the Robbie Roberson designed SOG Hunter Revolver as well as several different custom knives to field dress the bears and all worked very well...
Unfortunately my camera crapped out on me, and I only have a couple half assed pictures of the Revolver in use..
I can tell you though that it worked very well at skinning, as well as cutting cedar and tammerack branches to camo up my 20 ft ladder stand, as well as making several poles to carry bears out of the bush. Theres no question that the Hunter Revolver was a very useful tool in the woods, and found it very handy to have around since it's an all in one tool...
In our camp the were 7 out of 8 hunters taking bears, and from the other camp there were 14 out of 15 hunters who were successful. Hopefully in the next couple of days I'll have a more accurate total on bears taken....
If any of you guys are interested in an Awesome Bear hunt, possibly you guys could hunt with us in our camp next year,, have a look here, and tell Erin I sent you..

BTW.. Any of you hockey fans out there that know the name Bernie Nicholls, a formal NHL player from the Oilers and so forth.. Thats who helped track my bear for me..

He's a bloodhound no doubt!
