Offset / Jester Comparison

I know a lot of you have been struggling with the decision between and new g10 Kershaw Offset, and the Spyderco Jester... There's not a huge difference in size. But I thought I might point out a few things that made the decision easy for me. First, I prefer the durability of the Offset's coated blade. I'm worried that after hard use, the jester will show every little scratch. Second, I like the Offsets recurve. I'm not sure what Spyderco was thinking, but if they were trying to go head to head with Kershaw on this one, they really made a blunder there. There's actually a lot more stuff to list, like the stud-lock vs. the ancient lock back design... but I'll let you all make your own judgements. To be fair, I'd be happy to have either in a life or death survival situation. ;)

I never really thought about it but wowsers they look alike. I guess that is what the love child produced from a one night stand between an Offset and a Spyderco Centofante III would look like.

Nice catch Mr. Edge

when I was bored enough to come up with this idea, I was SURE I'd be able to drop the Jester into the Offset handle. The Jester was only a hair too thick. That would have been a more suggestive pic ;)

here's the other end of Mr. Architects one night stand theory. He's got a point ;)
