Just saw my first Offset at the local Sportsman's Warehouse. Have lots of knives. Lots of Big Folders. Rukus/CRKT M21-4/Cyclone. I cannot think why I would want this knife. I cannot think of a reason to justify the expense of this knife. I can't think of what I would use it for. As you are all aware by now, I have it bad for this knife. :) I would feel better if someone would tell me some uses they have put it through or some EDC examples or something. So far the best thing I can think of beyond "It fits my hand perfectly." and "The blade shape makes me want to cut something." Is that "It's one I don't have."

I'm in the same position you are; I'm dying to know if its worth the expense, but I can't think of anything it could do that my sebbie couldn't. It's mostly an aesthetic thing.
I've heard a few folks saying that it cuts remarkably well, and has a very usable and innovative blade geometry. It would probably do well in the bush, but I don't say that with certainty since the stud-lock makes me nervous.
Still, the most significant deterrent here is size; even as big folders go, the Offset is a juggernaut.

I just bought it for collection......The thing is soooo cool......I just like having it and messing with it every now and then.
GOOD knife!!
I have others that I use for EDC
Get it...you'll like it

I have a small collection of EDC knives and decided to get the Offset last week. All I can say is WOW!.......... It is an awesome knife. Fits my hand like no other, cuts excellently, snaps open so smoothly, handle is flawless and the blade has a neat matte finish. Plus this knife has a definite COOL factor. I want another one.

Well those were most of my reasons for getting all the different versions.

There is just something about the look and feel of the Offset that really can't be described. There's something about the shape of the blade that reminds me of a T-Rex skull. Holding it in your hand really does make you want to cut something.

You really feel it when the blade opens!

The stud lock seems amazingly strong to me. Locks solidly on all of mine with no blade play at all. Since the lock is symmetrical, twisting doesn't really seem to affect it.

It is amazingly easy to use with either hand, opening (with the flipper or thumb studs) or closing.

Not really to easy to actually use as an EDC without attracting attention though.

i think my name says it all :D :D

get it. its a user. also look up the thread here in the Kershaw forum called "Offset blackberry killer". it talks about it being used.

Thanks to all of you. It will be in lay-away tomorrow when the place opens. I just had to see if I was insane wanting another knife. Glad to know the rest of the inmates in the asylum think I'm OK. (I wasn't about to post that thread on some Martha Stewart site!) Thanks again for the opinions and thanks for sharing all y'alls knowledge. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

Just hang around at this place and we'll turn you on to a lot of knives you NEED! Welcome to the forum my friend:thumbup::D
