The Boker Congress I ordered arrived today. I was surprised at how nice it was when it arrived. Beautiful scales, nice patina on the blades, good snap, but there was work to be done. Beside the broken blades, the blades that were in good shape were dull as midnight NPR broadcasts.

I don't know what they did to take out a chip like that out of the blade. Maybe they used it as a screwdriver or something. I don't think the previous owner ever sharpened this thing.
I will get up pictures of the final modification here soon.

Use an 8" fine mill file on the spine until most of the chip is gone. Finish with 600 grit paper and sharpen. The blade will be slightly shorter but it will look better.

Kinda looks like that blade has been shortened before...regardless, it should make a great user
