I had a triangle box waiting for me when I arrived home after work. I was waiting patiently for it after seeing others post pics of theirs. I get a really nice one I think, the handle has great wood with nice straight grain and the white metal butt cap is nicely done. Here are the specs and some pics. Oh...who is the kami?

KLVUK #4
Overall lenght --16.5''
Weight --25 oz
Spine thickness --3/8''
White metal bolster and buttcap
Dhar wood handle

man that is a really nice one berserka,, your well on your way now! congrats.... now get to chopping something

Grats Gurkha! Impressive sword of shiva engravings! Cant wait to see more from Dhan Bahadur.

Beautiful blade by dhan. wouldn't it be a dbvuk? I have a bvcak by him and its still my favorite even though I got in two klvuk's yesterday. dhan does really nice work and the symmetry is amazing. klvuk's still look functional but not quite as even and finished as Dhan bahadur. I will be keeping an eye out for more of his work personally. though I don't think my klvuk is going anywhere soon. One for a gift but to decide which one....... Tried them out quickly and its a hard choice. hope you enjoy yours.

KLVUK was developed by Bura the Royal Kami and Keshar Lal subsequently built the model and retained the crescent moon mark. If Dhan Bahadur makes the same model I suppose you could call it either?

its a dbvuk and a klvuk-- ifyou have an open eye its a db-- if you have a crescent its a Kl-- both worth having-- anything without a kami mark is a KLVUK

Woah do all DBVUK's come with those sweet engravings? Looks like a villager chitlangi .

I was surprised by the amount of detail in the engravings myself. The sun at the top arching point really stands out in person. It was a super deal, now I need to make a sheath for it. I was going to use kydex but I changed my mind after seeing the blade. I want to go the more traditional route with leather and a ring dangler for my belt. Anyone have a good leather supplier and or tips for me?

pugs here on the forums is a great leatherbender, he could tell you where to buy leather !

Better yet, have pugs make a sheath for you, his sheaths are top notch work and materials.

Why thank you Gehazi, I could tell him but only if he knows the leatherworkers handshake or password.

;);) Thank ya sir

And that is a sweet looking khuk man, I really like the decoration on the blade, and the shape overall is just perfect, congrats on a fine blade man.

Looks Great! Congrats on a nice piece.

I just got my KLVUK and I love it but now I want a DB-KLVUK :o (in addition to the 10 other blades I want). People need to stop posting these awesome pictures! ;)

I soaked the handle overnight in boiled linseed oil, I have more grain showing and there is even some depth in there too. Best 65 bucks I ever spent!
