Got a bit bored at work. Yeah, I know ssshhh!

I took my BK2 to a piece of mylar. I chose the 2 because I don't really use it enough(or at all) and it was in my pack. Anyway, we have some scrap mylar laying about and I just had to see what this durable material would do when faced with this more-than-durable knife. Enjoy!

Da tools-

A scrap piece of mylar, the 2 and the best baton I could find in the bunker, a 2x4.

2mm thick at it's thickest point.

This depression goes through the majority of the piece.

I tried ramming the 2 through with no real positive result at it's weakest spot. I tried jamming with both hands and also holding with one hand while batoning with the board. Nada.

I know this seems tame for the Cat D9 of knives, but it's what I had on hand and wasn't drunk enough to improvise any better.

interesting deflection on that cut. mmm.

Looks like it just twisted in the vice as he was cutting it. Either way, he had some of those at the gathering and I got ahold of one. It is some heavy duty stuff. Not sure if it is nylon or teflon, I wasn't aware mylar could come like that, but it would make for a perfect cutting board.

Yeah D, same stuff. I've been told it's mylar, whatever it is it's tough as hell. Basically yeah, the board wasn't being held tight enough and twisted while I beat on it.
