So if any of you pay attention to the snark thread you know that I was going to de-ramp my-9 and something I decided to keep a secret. Well Cam found out the secret over facebook last night so it didnt last long. Anyway I was also going to put a curve in the swedge to make it look like a 17.

The only pic I have of the grinding. Yes, im using a bench grinder because my belt grinder is back ordered..

I decided to stop here with the grinder because I couldnt get it flat enough to go all the way with the grinder. Off to filing I go.

After some filing I intended to go flush with the spine but I have other things to do so I quickly cut jimping in with a dremel and will continue later...Hopefully.

Next will be finishing the spine, jimping, and Kabar micarta.

I like the new swedge. Makes the 9 look more Bowie-like. Can't wait to see the final product.

Nice work. Looks like you got the jimping very even.

A+ my friend. That looks great! How tough was it to do the swedge?

Not very hard. The steel there is fairly thin so it doesn't take much effort to remove the metal. The whole thing probably took me 15 minutes.

That swedge looks great! I'm becoming more of a fan of rampless knives, the more I see them here.

I'm gonna have to get another 9 and "Bowie" up the swedge. Or send to Haze and have him do it......

Very clean work.
Sort of like daizee's 17, in that it is just subtle enough to add a sweet touch to blade, without completely changing the appearance.

Nice job on the jimping too.

Thanks for the complements guys

Dude, thats great ! I really like how that clip point turned out...What kinda dremel bit did you use for the jimping too?

Cam- I used a dremel tungsten carbide bit model # 9901 if I remember correctly. Its just a hair, and i do mean hair smaller then the stock jimping.

You could clean it out with a small file if you dont like the swirls it leaves behind too.

It actually came out really good, I personally don't have the balls to cut into my 9 other than convexing the the edge! I do like the OG Bowie style
