Oh Ferrous one..

Thanks, man. I'm doing the finishing work on the Bo-shu, and I'll try to put together some sort of leather carry case for them.

The seax gets etched tomorrow. It all goes out Monday:
12 bo-s
1 Bilton, HIMWKK etched
1 Seax, etched
1 book for Soke 2 sign
1 gift (book) for Soke

Did I miss anything?

Keith

P.S.
"Your item cleared United States Customs at 2:39 pm on May 28, 2004. Information, if available, is updated every evening."

Don't worry about the shuriken case (unless you already made it)
I did some homework and found out it was just a bamboo cylinder with a cap.
also, be sure to wrap the books in paper and mark which ones are for signing and which are gifts.
Please put a pic of yourself in the gift book.
That way Soke can look at your face when he signs your copy and it will be more personal for the two of you.
OK?

Do you want a pic of him signing it ?

of course, tell customs that they are decoration tools and worth 9$

please dont bother with the gun blue, im afraid the customs sniffer will go nuts.
I dont want us to have problems, ill try and find some here.
I appreciate all the help youve given me.

I cant wait to whip those big babies out in front of Otsuka Sensei.
Hes going to have such a good time watching me rip his targets to shreds.

heehee. It'll kinda be lke that scene in the first RoboCop when he's at the Cop target range firing that hand cannon, and all the other cops come over to see what's making all the racket...

They ring like bells or chimes when struck. I like to hold one in the hand, rolll it down the palm and onto my ring, then toss it in the air, (tinnnnng!)

Thanks fer the additnl instruct.

Keith

Sweet!
I love that bell ringing sound.

Did you try your hand at throwing the senban shuriken trainer ?
(the paper spinning trainer)
Its addictive.
I have made it whistle properly on occasion. (only once)

haven't yet had a chance, but do you do recommend vertical or horizontal throws? I prefer vertical. Will that do it?

Stuff goes out tomorrow, after the holiday today. I skipped the blue, but I will put a coat of black rust-oleum on them.

Keith

Senban shuriken were "intended" to be thrown horizontally like a frisbee.
I do practice the vertical throw, but only because it might be useful someday.
Remember to move your hips when you throw.
Hips back before, hips forward when you actually throw it.
Remember not to worry about it sticking, its a cutting weapon.
Bo shuriken are for sticking in stuff.
thanks again

I've some Senban shuriken...the local Quaker Steak passes them out on bike night. Seriously! They hand out these metal disks for kickstand guards so you don't poke holes in their purdy asphalt. If you take them home (they seem more than willing to give out a few at a time) and put an edge on them...whew! They throw well, are free, I figure why not? It's not like you'll use them and worry about picking them up later anyway. Use and lose with no cost is okay with me. I found that half a dozen fit easily in each of my inside vest pockets.

Best of all..."Honest Mr. Officer, they are kickstand guards that I carry for the guys so their bikes don't poke holes or fall over". "Yeah, your right...the edges are kinda sharp...I ought to talk to Quaker State about that...someone could get cut or sumthin'"

They make coasters for motorcycles? That's like holding out your pinky finger while drinking from a beer bottle.

I do hold my pinky out while drinking beer Bruise...well, when I'm making a right turn in heavy traffic anyway.

I'll take a pic later today if I have a chance Danny...

ps: Sorry! The administrator has specified that users can only post one message every 60 seconds. I guess some of us talk too much

Good idea. Otherwise they might think you're toasting them.
:)

Here ya go Danny...nuthin' fancy for sure, but they are free, sharp and they do throw well. What more could you ask for?
