Please tell me what's better than coming home to a box of new knives after a 9 hour shift? Not paying any duties! But really... I'm sooo happy =)

I apologize in advance for the mad reflection and crappy overall lighting of the pics. My camera doesn't like my shiney desk/my super bright room light.

Ahhhh how sweet it is. My new RC-4 and IZULA!

Also picked up a Fallkniven F1 (For my sister) and the Fallkniven DC4 whetstone as you can see =)

I kinda like how I got both the old RAT survival card and the new ESEE one with my IZULA.

Hmmm... everyone told me if you didn't get cut wrapping your IZULA, you were doing it wrong.... I guess I didn't do it wrong.

Damn thing bit me good. Too bad the picture is crap... its actually a nice 3/4 slice but it was bleeding so fast I didn't have time to take the picture/focus it haha.

The start of a sweet addiction!

congrats!
enjoy and hope you get some time this weekend to get those new knives dirty!

Congrats ! That's nice stuff.
I have to say, not cool how you implied the F1 is a girl knife :p
On a different note, I like the basket weave on the Izula. I did the same thing only with tan paracord instead of the black. I'll have to pick up some black cord at some point.
Oh, also, you probably could've wrapped the Izula with the sheath on, ha. Nothing wrong with battle wounds though:thumbup:

Yah! That's the advantage of buying from the Canadian dealers. You never have to worry about getting dinged for duty.

nice. its like xmas.... like the lanyard you made for the 4... i have not made a lanyard for mine yet. want to though. got instructions?

Is it me or does it just make sense to wrap the Izula while still in the sheath?

Mine was in the sheath, but popped out while I was tightening the cord.

6 stitches later...

(totally my fault, BTW...not the sheaths.)

that's how I wrapped mine - and even when it tried to pop out of the sheath, my fingers were clear so I didn't get bitten. (unless you count stabbing myself while sharpening...)

Congrats on the knives. Now you just need a Junglas and a Lite Machete :)
You guys realy need to learn to train your ants better to lay still when being wrapped:p
On another note, it bit me one way or another when i was making fire...

The 4 and the Izula. Same two I've purchased. Love them both!! Congrats on your purchase, and also for not having to get stitches...lol

Well I DID wrap it in the sheath, but yes as I was tightening the end knot it slipped out and ran across the ring finger.

And I wasn't implying the F1 as a girl knife! I like it a lot to, but it just happens that she's a girl lol. I just prefer the ESEE knives

My IZULA followed me to work today and make short work of all the furniture boxes and plastic wrap. Had many people oohing and aahing asking where they could get one haha. I guided them to the ESEE website in the office and many of them said they would probably order soon!

As for my lanyard. I used a 2 color cobra wrap around a single strand of paracord. And the OD green is hollowed out (pulled out strands) so it makes for a much tighter looking wrap. Then just a loop with a knot tied close to the end of the lanyard with the supplied sliding button lock so if I need to it could be tightened to my wrist. The cobra stitch is about 3.5 inches and the loop is about 4 for reference.

IZULA wrap is really nice. I have big hands so its nice to keep the knife a bit more secure in my hand.

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Nice blades wolffbite. My Izula popped out of the sheath during it's wrap as well and bit 2fingers. Even after hearing that it happened to other people and deciding that I would be careful it still happened.

Well since my IZULA had to work today it lost its hair shaving ability. Sooooo I decided to take a crack at restoring that edge.

You guys weren't kidding when you said these knives get and hold an edge extremely well. I'm a novice sharpener... and it only took a half dozen passes on the ceramic DC4 and a bit of stropping with compound and I had it back to its former glory in about 20 minutes.

Thank you ESEE for such kickass knives!
