Just found out that my fave, the Delica in STAINLESS ...does NOT have...the VG10 blade that I really like.

I want a nice 3" or so stainless steel ONE HAND OPEN knife engraved for myself.

Suggestions on knives with GOOD steel? I know....AUS-6 is probly just fine, but I want BETTER.

RATS! :barf:

A clip would be nice as it would keep the knife out of the pocket change.
I intend to CARRY the purty thang.

Spyderco Scorpius- Pretty much the same dimensions as the SS Delica, but with VG-10! ;)

I agree, the Scoprious as a canvas is ideal. The movement and shape of the handles would lend itself nicely to someone with creative talent. I think it's a great idea.

Where would you have it engraved and what type of design (if any) have you chosen? Or would you let the creative juices of the artist decide?

I am hearing of the VG10 Delica. Hoping it's true. Any confirmation link?

The Delica is the only one with the hole handy for my bad thumb.

It HAS to be a Delica. Have spent 3 days looking for other suitables and (like all my other blade wants) I come back to ....Spyderco.

 :)

I have no clue what your base skill is, so please don't be offended if you're not a beginner, but how's about a byrd as a 'practice' piece? Less than $20, ss handles and similar size depending on which model you get. Let you warm up a little before you go for the masterpiece.

My dad and little brother each carry a Spyderco Harpy with the first initial of our surname on one side. Handles took the engraving quite nicely (done at a shop, I'm a no talent:)). My son and nephew are getting close ton old enough for theirs too, those ss handles just beg for it, and it's a nice little filial connector.
