Thru use and overzelous sharpening, I've lost quite a bit of belly on my large Sebenza.
So, I sent it back to CRK for a new blade.
Since I have an older Sebenza, I requested a BG-42 blade to keep it original as that's what it came with.
A day after they received it, I received a call from one of CRK's polite young reps. She explained that the BG-42 blade was no longer available. OK, guess I'm getting an S-30V then. No problem.
So, my question is, what differences can I expect in performance, sharpenability, and appearance, if any?
Thanks all,
Lenny

Lenny,

My small seb is a unique graphic, so I can't comment about the tumbled finish, but the finish seems the same on unique graphics in BG-42. Edge seems to last longer with the S-30V, and (maybe it's my imagination) the S30-V seems to take an edge that cuts better than the BG-42. It could be the carbide structure, but I am not sure. Bottom line is that I prefer the S30-V blade.
