As our anniversary (#43) is coming up rather quickly, my wonderful beloved spouse gifted me this evening with the most magnificent fixed blade knife I have ever laid eyes upon. (At least in recent memory)An SSD89 Scuba/Demo. Polished Seki Steel blade w/tan stacked washer handle interspersed with white. Brass guard and pommel. Absoluetely beautiful. And the black leather sheath is a work of art. Comes with the little pouch with sharpening stone. Just like the original ones of many, many years ago. Now, a couple of questions (for my own information). Since this knife is Seki steel, what kind of steel is it? Where can I find a nice display box, one with a glass cover and large enough for both the knife and sheath. And, since the blade is highly polished, any special care for the blade necessary and also care for the leather handle? Any information is greatly appreciated. Man, am I one happy camper!!!!:) :D

Wow, way cool !! Congratulations !!

The best way to take care of that blade is to go chop some trees, that way you'll never have to worry about it ever again.

OH, and pictures please !!!!!

Cheers,

Carl
